European Research Council Synergy Grant, up to €10-14 million for 6 years

The Synergy grant has yearly calls and is for a group of 2-4 Principal Investigators (PIs) who can employ researchers of any nationality as team members. The PIs are expected to work together and bring different skills and resources to tackle ambitious research problems. PIs must present an early achievement track-record or a ten-year track-record.
 

British Academy/Leverhulme Small Research Grants

The BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grants is open until 5 June 2024 and are available to support primary research in the humanities and social sciences. These awards, up to £10,000 in value and tenable for up to 24 months, are provided to cover the cost of the expenses arising from a defined research project.
 

UKRI-SBE lead agency opportunity

This UK Research and Innovation funding opportunity with the US National Science Foundation’s Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences Directorate (NSF/SBE) is continuously open and allows UK and US-based researchers to submit a collaborative proposal that will go through a single review process. Collaborative research proposals are submitted within the remit of participating organisations and funding differs according to which council or agency is the lead.
 

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchanges

The Staff Exchanges call opens 10 October 2024 to 5 March 2025, and aims to promote innovative international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration in research and innovation through exchanging staff and sharing knowledge and ideas.
           

MSCA International Cooperation

This International Cooperation call is open 14 May to 4 September 2024, and aims to foster international cooperation in MSCA in Horizon Europe. Activities to be implemented should include policy support to bilateral/bi-regional cooperation, promotion of MSCA cooperation opportunities, and cross-cutting activities. The expected duration of the action is 36 months.
 

ERA Talents

The ERA Talents action opens 11 April to 26 September 2024, and aims to boost interoperability of careers and employability of research and innovation talents across sectors, with a centre of gravity in Widening countries. Grants should have an expected duration of up to 4 years.
